In warmer months, the hiking trails of the Karavanke Mountains, diverse cycling routes, and trips to Bled and Bohinj invite exploration. Autumn brings tranquillity, colourful forests, and culinary experiences, while winter offers nearby ski resorts, cross-country skiing, Planica, and magical winter walks.

When you simply wish to unwind, the terrace, garden, and views are more than enough. The peace and comfort of the house ensure that every moment becomes a memorable experience.

Location & Surroundings

The house is located in the peaceful village of Zgoša, just before Begunje na Gorenjskem, home of the world-famous Avsenik Brothers. Surrounded by the Karavanke Mountains and set at the gateway to the Julian Alps, it offers views of St. Peter above Begunje, Begunjščica, Stol, and Dobrča. Nearby walks lead to Kamen Castle and the Draga Valley, where the Lamberg Circular Trail connects nature, panoramic views, and stories of the past.

An excellent starting point for exploring Gorenjska and the wider region. Bled is only a few minutes away by car, with Bohinj, Kranjska Gora, Planica, and Pokljuka also nearby. Ljubljana and Postojna Cave can be reached in under an hour, while Brnik Airport ensures easy access from abroad.

For day trips, Triglav National Park, Vršič Pass, Bovec, Zelenci, and Lake Jasna are all easily accessible. Austria and Italy are perfect for a short cross-border excursion, with Venice and Croatia’s Zagreb close by. Istria and the Adriatic coast are about two hours away, ideal when you wish to trade alpine tranquillity for the blue of the sea and the vibrant coastal atmosphere.
